This part of the course covers the required theory for recognising the signs and
symptoms of common medical conditions inflight and treatment and procedures for
managing them. The theory component covers all required syllabus requirements for
both IOSA and CASA Part 121. Ideally completed annually to refresh the basics and to
provide any changes or updates to best practice for management of illness and
injury.

There are three (3) focus topics which are designed to complement annual training
by focusing learning on a speciality topic relevant to the aviation environment.

These topics are:
Year 1 – Cardiac
Year 2 – Respiratory
Year 3 – Neurological
